How Children Use Them
Children start by coloring the images in their booklet. As they color, encourage them to talk about the pictures and try sounding out words.
Next, students assemble the flip book. They keep the top rectangle intact as the base, cut along the dotted lines of the smaller rectangles, stack the pages, and staple or glue them to the base.
Once the book is ready, students practise reading the simple, repetitive sentences. The pattern helps them recognize words quickly and build fluency.
Finally, students complete the recording sheet by tracing the sight word and writing sentences of their own. This step strengthens handwriting, spelling, and sentence formation.
