This book contains 16 activities ideal for use in morning tubs with children in Kindergarten (Prep/Foundation).

Alphabet Tracing Cards
Materials needed: erasable marker
Children will circle the pictures that start with the focus sound and then trace the letters and words on the writing lines.

CVC Crossword Puzzle
Materials needed: erasable marker or small letter tiles/beads
Children will write/build the CVC word that matches each picture.

Ending Punctuation
Materials needed: household pegs
Children will identify whether the punctuation mark used at the end of the sentence is correct. They will then clip a peg on either the tick or cross to show their answer.

Digraphs (ch, sh, th, wh, ph)
Materials needed:
household pegs
Children will say the name of the picture on the card and determine whether it matches the digraph shown. They will then clip a peg on either the tick or cross to show their answer.

Long and Short Vowel Sounds
Materials needed: household pegs
Children will say the name of the picture on the card and determine whether they hear a long or short vowel sound. They will then clip a peg on the corresponding circle to show their answer.

CVC and CVCe Words
Materials needed: household pegs
Children will say the name of the picture on the card and determine whether it is written correctly. They will then clip a peg on either the tick or cross to show their answer.

Sentence Scramble
Materials needed: erasable markers
Children will unscramble the words on the card to make a sentence. They will then write the sentence on the handwriting lines.

Nouns (person, place, thing)
Materials needed: household pegs
Children will say the name of the picture on the card and determine what kind of noun it is. They will then clip a peg on the corresponding circle to show their answer.

Hundred Chart Mystery Pictures
Materials needed: colored buttons or other small colored manipulatives
Children will use the color code to determine where to place the colored objects in order to reveal the mystery picture.

Skip Counting by 10 Puzzles
Children will place the puzzle pieces in order.

Number Bonds: Missing Whole
Materials needed: beads or play dough rolled into small balls
Children will place the indicated number of beads into the “part” gumballs, then move them into the “whole” gumball to determine the missing whole.

Number Bonds: Missing Part
Materials needed: beads or play dough rolled into small balls
Children will place the indicated number of beads into the “whole” gumball. They will move the indicated number of gumballs into the “part” gumball, then move the remaining beads into the last “part” gumball to determine the missing part.

Sharing Equally Between 2 (division)
Children will count out the indicated number of cookies, then share them equally between the two trays.

Time to the Hour
Materials needed: household pegs
Children will identify whether the digital time and the analogue clock matches by clipping a peg on either the tick or cross to show their answer.

Sorting Animals by Habitat
Children will sort the different animals to the correct habitat.

Sorting by 2 Attributes
Children will sort the different objects to the correct square on the grid.
