Directions for use
Following is an outline of the worksheets included in this unit and suggestions for use.
1. Alphabet Tracing (2 pages)
Children practice tracing the upper and lower case letters.
2. Alphabet Match (2 pages)
Children write the lower case letter next to the matching upper case letter.
3. Beginning Sounds
Children write the beginning sound for each picture in the box.
4. Ending Sounds
Children write the ending sound for each picture in the box.
5. Middle Sounds
Children write the middle sound for each picture in the box.
6. Syllables
Children select the number of syllables for each picture.
7. Onsets and Rimes 1
Children colour the onset and rime pair and matching picture in the same colour.
8. Onsets and Rimes 2
Children find the words in the word search. Next, they write the missing word to complete each sentence.
9. CVC Words 1
Children colour the beginning, middle and ending sounds for each word, then write the word on the line.
10. CVC Words 2
Children write the beginning, middle and ending sound for each word. Then they write the complete word in the box.

Children read each sentence determine which ending punctuation is need at the end.
41. Fix the Sentences
Children rewrite the sentences on the page to include correct capital letters and ending punctuation.

Children circle the two common noun in each sentence and then write them on the lines.

Children write a proper noun for each common noun.

Children write the plural noun for each singular noun.

Children cut out the prepositions from the bottom of the page and glue them under the matching pictures.

Children complete each sentence using the most suitable preposition.

Children read each sentence, then glue the contraction on top of the two words that make it.
53. Conjunctions: and, but, so, or, because
Children complete each sentence using a conjunction.
54. Antonyms & Synonyms
Children use the colour code to highlight the synonyms and antonyms.
55. Compound Words
Children cut out the compound words from the side of the page and glue them next to the two words that make it.
56. Alphabetical Order
Children cut out the words from the bottom of the page and glue them in alphabetical order. Next, they write a sentence using two of the words from the list.
57. Making Words
Children cut out the letter tiles from the side of the page and arrange them to make words which they will write down.
58. Word Search
Children look for the words and colour the letter tiles that make up each word on the word search.
59. Reading Comprehension
Children read the short passage and answer the comprehension questions using complete sentences.
60. Missing Numbers 1-50
Children write the missing numbers next to the matching icon.
61. Missing Hundred Chart Pieces
Children use the hundred chart to write the missing numbers on each section.
62. Numbers Before and After
Children write the number that comes next.
